GRP Handrail for Rail Track Safety

GRP handrail installed alongside this rail track for personnel safety constructed using Interclamp GRP Fittings.

Interclamp GRP tube and fittings are robust, durable, non-corroding and require minimal maintenance work. Another feature of our GRP range is low electrical conductivity, making it typically suited for handrails in close proximity to electrical installations such as railways and substations.

Interclamp GRP fittings are also quick to assemble with minimal tools and no welding required. This is an important feature when installing structures in time sensitive locations such as rail lines where disruption must be kept to a minimum.

The handrail shown in this project has been constructed using safety yellow tube and fittings which offers a high contrast finish and is chip and UV resistant for a long service life which does not require painting.
